The end of World War II resulted in a demographic bulge of individuals born afterward known as the boomer generation, which has reshaped society as it ages. Since 1990, this group began crossing the threshold into more than 50 years of senior adulthood. In addition to the large influx of newborns more than 60 years ago, the size of this demographic group has been boosted by medical advancements.
