Corsair Gamings posts 2021 performance
Corsair Components Inc’s (Corsair Gaming) net revenue was $1.9 billion, $1.7 billion, and $1.1 billion for the years ended December 31, 2021, 2020, and 2019, respectively. The company’s net revenue increased 55.2% in 2020, as compared to 2019, primarily due to a larger number of consumers gaming and working from home as a result of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Going into 2021, while the lockdowns and shelter-in-place restrictions were gradually lifted, Corsair Gaming’s net revenue continued to grow, rising 11.8%, despite the negative impact from the global supply chain and logistics challenges as well as the shortages of reasonably priced GPUs, which led to a decrease in demand for selfbuilt gaming PCs and systems and its related components.
COVID|Structural|M&AIn response to volatile demand in the wake of the first COVID-19 surge, the company undertook a comprehensive cost reduction program, aimed at shoring up labor and supply costs.
